The interior climate of your container can be drastically improved by adding insulation.Most of our customers choose to go with fiberglass insulation. It is the same type of insulation you find in many homes.At a thickness of 3 ”, it provides an R-13 insulation value.We also offer rigid polystyrene foam panel insulation.

These panels come in several thicknesses and provide an R-5 insulation value per 1”. Alternative insulation, such as open or closed cell spray foam and thermal coatings are available upon request as well.

The two most common wall coverings our customers choose are hardie paneling or plywood.

We are able to install lights, outlets and data/phone lines in your container. The wiring can be run in surface mounted conduit or behind the walls. You also have the option of adding exterior lighting, including porch lights, flood lights and more

Floor

• The floor of a shipping container is typically comprised of 1-1/8” thick marine plywood. In its original condition, the wood floor is suitable for most aftermarket applications. However, some aftermarket uses call for the floor to be customized. If your project calls for a custom floor, we’ve got you covered. We are able to install a steel overlay, vinyl flooring, and rhino liner or remove the floor completely.

Painting

• Applying paint is an excellent way to improve the aesthetics of your container. Adding a fresh coat of paint also helps protect the surface from constant exposure to the elements. We use a marine grade industrial enamel from Sherwin Williams. It’s a coating that is made to be applied on exterior steel surfaces. A multitude of colors are available for you to choose from.
